The unopposed motion for summary judgment of Defendants Concentra Occupational Med Ctrs-CA, Evelyn N. Manolo, and Frances Sabetfard (“Defendants”) is granted.
Plaintiffs allege that Defendants were negligent in their failure to properly treat Plaintiff Luz Chan (“Plaintiff”) causing Plaintiff’s baby to be born prematurely. Plaintiff Gilberto Chan brings a claim for Loss of Consortium related to Plaintiff’s injuries.
Defendants have presented expert medical evidence demonstrating that no acts by Defendants caused, contributed to, or was a substantial factor in Plaintiff’s claimed injuries and the death of Plaintiff’s child. (Declaration of Stephen Alan Hebert, M.D. ¶ 7.)
