BACKGROUND
On April 2, 2015, plaintiff Sheyla Melgar filed a complaint against defendants Rite Aid Corp., Thrifty Payless, Inc. dba Rite Aid, Thrifty Rite Aid, LLC, California CVS Pharmacy, LLC, and Jose Celestine for premises liability based on a slip and fall on April 29, 2014.
DISCUSSION
The hearing on the petition has been continued three times (on January 22, 2018, March 1, 2018, and April 2, 2018) to allow plaintiff, who is a minor, to obtain a guardian ad litem. Plaintiff has not done so. Although on March 23, 2018, plaintiff filed an application for guardian ad litem, it was rejected.
The petition is CONTINUED to June 18, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. to allow plaintiff sufficient time to obtain a guardian ad litem. Petitioner is ordered to give notice of this ruling.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
