On or about October 2010, Pete Martin Soriano (“decedent”), a developmentally disabled adult, moved into a residential care facility known as Mountain View Cottages VIII. Plaintiffs claim that defendants rendered substandard care to decedent, which caused decedent to develop life-threatening pressure ulcers. Decedent died on 3/7/14. The complaint was filed on 1/21/15. On 3/16/16, this matter was transferred from Department 92 (personal injury hub) to this court. The First Amended Complaint, filed 6/24/16, asserts causes of action for:
