DEFENDANT HILLCROSS, INC.'S MOTION TO QUASH SERVICE OF PROCESS IS GRANTED
Background
On March 8, 2013, Plaintiff Sherman Lee (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Defendants Charles Hasbun; Saleh Hasbun; Scot Saltzman; Melissa Ann Hasbun; Amber Hasbun; Baypoint Mortgage Inc.; Valley Trust Deed Services; Ammec Inc.; and Does 1-10 for (1) slander of title; (2) deceit/misrepresentation (fraud); (3) wrongful eviction (CCP section 1159); (4) conversion; (5) abuse of process; (6) intentional infliction of emotional distress, and (7) quiet title.
On March 1, 2016, Defendant Sally Hasbun was dismissed with prejudice pursuant to Plaintiff’s oral motion.
On March 3, 2016, a Notice of Removal to Federal Jurisdiction was filed. The case was stayed.
On March 17, 2017, the Court granted Plaintiff’s motion to lift the stay.
On March 21, 2017, dismissal was entered as to Charles Hasbun and Ammec, Inc.
On May 9, 2017, the Court noted that a temporary stay order was issued and filed by the Cour
