Filing fees are a recoverable cost pursuant to CCP § 1033.5(a)(1). Defendant challenges filing fees of $180.00 incurred in connection with ex parte hearings held on October 3, 2019 and October 16, 2019. Considering the subsequent denial of Plaintiff's motion for a protective order with respect to subpoenas issued to Premier Financial Services and Interinsurance Exchange of Auto Club and also considering this court's denial of Plaintiff's October 16, 2019, ex parte for an order shortening time, the court finds Plaintiff fails to establish these filing fees as "reasonably necessary to the conduct of the litigation."
