TENTATIVE RULING

Plaintiff's motion for discovery of personnel information under Evidence Code section 1043 and Pitchess v. Superior Court (1974) 11 Ca1.3d 531 is GRANTED in part and DENIED in part. The Sheriff is directed to produce the documents identified below for in camera review on October 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

Preliminary Matters

The Sheriff's objection to plaintiff's request for judicial notice is overruled. The Court notes that the documents for which notice has been sought are filings in this Court, assigned to this department, listed on the Register of Actions and, thus, available to it and anyone else. Indeed, pursuant to local rules and the Rules of Court, the electronic court file is the official record of the court. San Diego General Order No. 010120-22(A); CRC 2.504(b).

Plaintiff's request for judicial notice is granted.
