The Court issues the following tentative ruling in advance of the compliance hearing scheduled for May 28, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., by remote appearance in Department 40.
The Court has received the Declaration of Elizabeth Kruckenberg on behalf of Settlement Administrator with Respect to Disbursement of Settlement Funds ("Kruckenberg Declaration"), filed May 14, 2021. No appearance is required subject to the following conditions:
The Kruckenberg Declaration, among other things, indicates that the check-cashing deadline for payments sent to class members is July 12, 2021. After the uncashed amount is determined, it will be distributed to the cy pres beneficiary, Legal Aid at Work.
The Court sets the next compliance hearing for September 24, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., by remote appearance in Department 40. By 14 days prior to the hearing, Plaintiff shall file via email to Dept40@saccourt.ca.gov, an updated declaration from the settlement administrator reporting on the status of disbursements.
