Plaintiff Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency's ("SAFCA") motion to relate the instant case to fifteen other cases set forth below under California Rule of Court, Rule 3.300 is GRANTED. Plaintiff's motion to assign these cases to a single judge for all purposes under CRC, Rule 3.734 is DENIED. The cases will, however, be assigned to a single judge, the Honorable David Brown in Department 53, for all law and motion purposes.

The instant action and the 15 cases to be related to it, comprise 16 eminent domain actions brought by plaintiff SAFCA as part of a comprehensive plan called the Natomas Levee Improvement Program ("Project") to strengthen the levee system at the perimeter of the Natomas Basin. SAFCA is a joint powers agency formed under Government Code section 6500 et seq. to among other things provide the Sacramento metropolitan area with at least 100-year flood protection as quickly as possible.
