Motion to Quash Discovery Subpoena
Defendants ASAS Group, Inc. (“ASAS”) and Abdul Aziz Sadruddin (“Sadruddin”) (collectively, “Defendants”) seek an order quashing the deposition subpoena for business records that Plaintiff Maria Arrieta (“Plaintiff”) served on Farmers & Merchants Bank (“Bank”).
On 1/13/2020, the Court ordered the parties to further meet and confer concerning the scope and particulars of the subpoena, to see if they could reach any agreement on the discovery sought, including any agreements to narrow the requests set forth in the subpoena.
The parties have now advised the Court that Defendant has agreed to provide further discovery responses regarding ASAS Group’s corporate structure (including the identity of its shareholders, directors and officers) and regarding Defendant Sadruddin’s involvement in the company as the only shareholder, director and officer. SO ORDERED.
For its part, Plaintiff has clarified that the subpoena seeks only bank records from ASAS Group, Inc
