Defendant is instructed to serve Plaintiffs with hard copies of the moving papers and file an updated proof of service evidencing the same. As both Plaintiffs are self-represented litigants, electronic service is only permitted if Plaintiffs consent to electronic service in writing pursuant to CRC 2.251(c)(3)(B). The Court also notes that the Judicial Council's Emergency Rule 12 concerning electronic service appears to have been repealed, but regardless Emergency Rule 12 also contained an exception for self-represented litigants.
