PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR TRIAL SETTING PREFERENCE

Plaintiff Clarence James Sloan, Jr. and Pamela Sloan’s Motion for Trial Setting Preference is GRANTED.

FACTUAL BACKGROUND

This is an action for elder abuse. The Complaint alleges as follows. Plaintiff Clarence Sloan, Jr. (“Sloan”), born in 1947, resided at the skilled nursing facility of Defendant Panorama Meadows Nursing Center, LP (the “Nursing Center”) from August 2, 2019 – August 27, 2019 due to untreatable Transverse Myelitis (which left Sloan without sensation below his hips). (Compl. ¶¶ 1-2, 33, 35.) The Nursing Center is owned and managed by Defendants Panorama Meadows Inc. (“PMI”) and individual Jacob Graff (“Graff,” and together with PMI, the “Management Defendants”), who Plaintiff alleges to be alter egos of each other and the Nursing Center. (Compl. ¶¶ 3-
