Plaintiff Carol Maynard (“Plaintiff”) filed this medical malpractice action against Defendant Lisa Crane, M.D. (“Defendant”), alleging that the surgery at issue occurred at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, California. (Complaint ¶ 7.) Now, Defendant moves to transfer venue to Orange County. A plaintiff may file a personal injury action in the county where any defendant resides, or the county where the injury occurred. (See Code Civ. Proc., § 395, subd. (a).)
