BACKGROUND:

Plaintiff Vicente Perez alleges that “this case presents the compelling story of a loyal and hard-working employee who was abruptly fired by his employer after requesting to use a day of sick leave.” (Complaint, ¶ 8.) Plaintiff alleges that he “was employed by Woodland Group beginning on or around September 26, 2016 until January 17, 2018” and “at the time of his termination, [he] worked as a maintenance supervisor at an apartment complex.” (Id. at ¶ 9.)
