On July 25, 2019, Plaintiff Bee Investment Inc. (“BII”) filed a complaint against Defendant Lynn Kim (“Kim”), stating three causes of action for 1) breach of contract; 2) reimbursement; and 3) common counts – money had and received. The Complaint alleges that BII and Kim entered into a written independent contractor agreement wherein BII would be a real estate broker and Kim would be an associate-licensee (i.e. a real estate agent). On November 13, 2017, third-party Dewey Properties LLC filed a suit against BII and Kim regarding the sale and purchase of property located at 1057 S. Dewey Ave., Los Angeles (the “Property”).
