Background
Plaintiff, Estee Bae filed this action against Defendants, Hans Kim, M.D. (“Kim”) and Serrano Eye Center Medical Group (“Serrano”) (collectively, “Defendants”) for medical malpractice. Plaintiff’s First Amended Complaint alleges that on or about 3/20/18, Plaintiff underwent Scleral Buckle eye surgery at the recommendation of and under the care of Kim at Serrano’s surgical facility. Plaintiff alleges that Kim failed to perform the procedure with the reasonable standard of care required of a licensed eye surgeon, leaving Plaintiff’s eye permanently and badly disfigured and Plaintiff’s vision permanently and drastically reduced. (FAC ¿¿ 14-15.)
Defendants Kim and Serrano now move for sum
