Motion to be Relieved as Counsel

The court considered the moving papers. No opposition was filed.

BACKGROUND

On November 2, 2018, plaintiff Carlos Molina (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against defendants Citigroup, Inc., Pacific Wilmington, LLC, and City of Los Angeles alleging premises liability and general negligence arising from a trip-and-fall that occurred on November 19, 2017.

On December 6, 2018, defendant City of Los Angeles filed a cross-complaint against Roes 1-10 seeking indemnification, apportionment of fault, and declaratory relief.

On February 22, 2019, Plaintiff filed an amendment to the complaint designating Carmar, LLC as Doe 1.

On March 4, 2019, defendant Citygroup, Inc. filed a cross-complaint against Roes 1-100 seeking indemnification, apportionment of fault, and declaratory relief.

Trial is set for May 1, 2020.

PARTY’S REQUEST

Plaintiff’s counsel law firm, Benjamin G. Berkley, seeks a court order relieving him as counsel for Plaintiff in this matter.
