Motion to Compel Deposition

Having considered the moving, opposing, and reply papers, the Court rules as follows.

BACKGROUND

On October 31, 2018, Plaintiff Juana Carillo (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Defendants Kohl’s Department Stores, Inc. and Michael Jaime alleging negligence and premises liability for a trip-and-fall that occurred on December 11, 2016.

On August 5, 2019, the Court dismissed Defendant Michael Jamie with prejudice.

On November 5, 2019, Defendant Kohl’s Department Stores, Inc. filed a motion to compel further deposition testimony from Plaintiff pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure section 2025.480.

Trial is set for April 29, 2020.
