TENTATIVE RULING
On August 1, 2018, Pierre Hempel, Simone Hempel, Ceddric Hempel, and Pascal Hempel (Plaintiffs) filed a personal injury lawsuit against Shannon Joseph Doherty and PV Holding Corp (Defendants) alleging one cause of action for motor vehicle. Plaintiffs allege they were injured in an August 2, 2016 automobile accident on South Highway 1 at the intersection with Vista del Mar in unincorporated San Luis Obispo County. (Compl., passim.) Plaintiffs are German nationals who, at the time of the incident, were vacationing in California. Defendant Shannon Doherty is an Australian national. All Plaintiffs except for Pierre1 have now settled their claims.
Now before the Court is Defendants’ motion for Letter of Request to obtain Pierre’s medical records from his medical providers in Germany.
