The court has considered plaintiff’s supplemental opposition and defendant’s reply. The court’s records indicate that the instant matter was e-filed on June 7, 2018. On June 11, 2018, plaintiff’s counsel’s office filed a second duplicate complaint, identical in every respect to the first case. The duplicate complaint was given case no. 18CECG02066, and the matter was assigned to Judge Hamilton and set for a case management conference on October 9, 2018. The second case was never served on defendant and defendant never appeared. Ultimately, the second case was dismissed by plaintiff’s counsel with prejudice on October 2, 2018.
