ACCOUNT AND REPORT OF CONSERVATOR AND PETITION FOR ITS SETTLEMENT
AND FOR FEES
TENTATIVE RULING: The Court previously continued this matter to allow the
conservator time to address various issues. The Court understands the conservator is the only heir of the conservatee and construes the lack of a second accounting period as a waiver of accounting and construes any accounting period necessary after May 14, 2019, as a waiver of accounting. The conservator provided the billing statements from Stayman Estates, and explained the “Cash Out” amounts in Schedule C of “Estate of Frank S. Palagi” for $82,000 and $1,695.18, explained the “Other Charges.”
The Court will not approve fees for Karyn Spillers. The verified accounting represents she is a paralegal. However, the conservator now states in his supplemental declaration that Spillers is not “formally certified as a paralegal.”
Thus, the petition is GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. The petition is
denied as to the request for fees for Sp
