MOTION TO CONTINUE TRIAL
APPEARANCE REQUIRED. Defendants Earl Eugene King and Royal Pacific
Limousine’s motion to continue the trial date is GRANTED. Good cause exists because defendants have not completed expert depositions. Plaintiff Thomas Pierce acknowledges a continuance is necessary, but for a different reason based on an upcoming surgery. This also represents good cause for a continuance.
The parties shall appear to discuss the new trial date for late September or early October 2019 and any other applicable dates. The Court plans on granting the motion as prayed, with all pre-trial deadlines to be re-set in accord with the new trial date.
Pierce seeks to close all non-expert discovery based on purported prior agreements between the parties, and to force defendants to withdraw any pending discovery requests, including deposition subpoenas directed to Pierce’s employers. Pierce provides the parties stipulated on October 26, 2018, that all discovery deadlines, other than expert dis
