Nature of Proceedings: Petition: Appoint Conservator of Person and Estate

Appearance required. The proposed conservatee is expected to attend the hearing. (Prob. Code, § 1825.)

It is recommended that the court consider whether to delay the proceedings further for the receipt of the Tri-Counties Regional Center Report (Prob. Code, § 1827.5, subd. (b).)

The petition alleges that the proposed conservatee is developmentally disabled as defined in Probate Code section 1420. It is recommended that the court inquire into whether a limited conservatorship would be more appropriate than a general conservatorship. (Prob. Code, § 1828.5, subd. (c), (d).)
