This is a “lemon law” case. According to the allegations, on August 28, 2014, plaintiff Mario Barajas purchased a new 2014 Ford Focus, VIN No. 1FADP3K24EL375026, from an authorized Ford Motor Company dealer for $25,000.00. After purchasing the vehicle, and within the applicable warranty period, plaintiff experienced recurring problems with the vehicle’s engine, transmission, and powertrain. Plaintiff delivered the vehicle to an authorized Ford repair facility on at least three separate occasions to repair the defects, but the repair attempts were never successful.
