The court grants, in part, defendant Costco Wholesale Corporation’s motion to compel the deposition of plaintiff, production of documents and for imposition of monetary sanction.
The court orders plaintiff to appear at a deposition for one more day, at a time to be mutually agreed by the parties. If, within 10 days of the date of this order, plaintiff will not agree to a date and time for the deposition, the court will set a date, time and place for the deposition on ex parte application by defendants. The court orders that plaintiff pay defendant Costco Wholesale Corporation a monetary sanction in the amount of $2,225.
Background: This is a wrongful termination suit brought by plaintiff Carlos Cifuentes against his former employer, Costco Wholesale Corporation, and individual managers employed by Costco – Tom Current, Jim Blount and Ronald Debrum. Plaintiff alleges that he was terminated in retaliation
