The Hon. William D. Stewart is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Gray Davis in December of 2000.
Judge Stewart received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1963. He went on to earn his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 1967.
Stewart practiced medical malpractice for the law firm of Hagenbaugh and Murphy from 1969 to 1999. During his lengthy legal career with the firm, Stewart became a managing partner. At the time of his appointment to the Superior Court in 2000, Judge Stewart was practicing for the law firm of Moore, Winter, Skebba, and McLennan.
