The Hon. William D. Claster is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2010 and re-elected in 2012 and 2018.
Claster attended Stanford University, where he earned a B.A. in 1973. He then completed his J.D. in 1976 at the University of California, Los Angeles.
From 1976 to 2010, Claster served as an employment defense lawyer with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. In this position, he worked with clients as diverse as Marie Callender Pie Shops Inc., Johnny Rockets, Transamerica Corp. and Tenet Healthcare Corp.
The Daily Journal named Claster in its list of Top 10 Employment Defense Lawyers in California in 2009 and 2010.
