Biography

The Hon. W. Michael Hayes (Ret.) served as a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was first appointed to the Municipal Court of Orange County on June 14, 1994, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of Judge David McEachen.

Hayes earned a B.A. from Brigham Young University. He then received a J.D. from Pepperdine University.

Hayes has practiced law in Orange, California since 1979, where he has worked as a partner for two different law firms.

He has also served as a reserve officer with the City of Anaheim in California.
