The Hon. W. Kent Hamlin is a judge on the Superior Court of Fresno County in California. Hamlin was first elected to the bench in 1998 and then re-elected in 2004 and 2010. He ran again and was re-elected without opposition in 2016.
Judge Hamlin received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of Law.
After law school, he practiced civil litigation for four years and prosecuted crimes as a Deputy District Attorney for seven years.
Judge Hamlin also served on the Clovis City Council from 1994 to 1998. His wife Kathy is a former music teacher for Clovis Unified School District and former director of the Serve Clovis! volunteer campaign. They both live in Clovis, California.
