Biography

The Hon. Victor H. Greenberg is a judge for the Superior Court of Los Angeles County in California. He succeeded the Hon. Michael R. Hoff when he was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on January 22, 2009. He was re-elected unopposed in 2010 and 2016.

The judge is a registered Democrat.

Greenberg received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.

Judge Greenberg joined the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services as an attorney in 1986. He remained in that capacity with the department for nine years, until in 1995 when he was named their Inspector General. In 2000 Judge Greenberg became Court Commissioner for the Los Angeles Superior Court and remained there until his appointment to the bench in 2009.

During his time on the Superior Court, Judge Greenberg has presided over the Los Angeles Dependency Court at the Edelman Children's Courthouse.
