The Hon. Teresa A. Beaudet is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2010 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
She is a registered Democrat.
Judge Beaudet graduated with her B.A. from Loyola Marymount University in 1974 and with her M.A. from Loyola in 1976. She went on to earn her J.D. from Loyola Law School in 1980.
After graduating from law school, Beaudet became an associate at the law firm of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter, and Hampton LLP. Then, in 1988, she joined the law firm of Mayer, Brown, Row, and Maw as an associate in their Los Angeles office. She was named a partner for the firm in 1990 and practiced there until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2010. Beaudet served as a general business litigator in both state and federal courts during her 22 years with the firm. Her areas of practice included employment, real estate, and environmental issues as well as unfair business practice cases.
