The Hon. Tara Reilly is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. She was initially appointed to the Municipal Court of San Bernardino County by former governor Pete Wilson in 1996. She was then elevated to the Superior Court upon court unification.
Reilly earned a B.A. in sociology and psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1979. She then pursued a career in the hospitality industry, working in hotel businesses. Then, in 1986, she enrolled in Pepperdine University School of Law, where she completed a J.D. in 1989.
She began her legal career as an associate with Gresham, Varner, Savage, Nolan & Tilden. She practiced there for seven years before her appointment to the bench.
She was a recipient of the Kaufman-Campbell Award from the San Bernardino County Bar Association in 2012.
Reilly was born in Germany. She belonged to a military family and, as such, moved frequently throughout her life.
