Biography

The Hon. Susan Bryant-Deason is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was originally elected to the bench in the 1994 election.

Judge Bryant-Deason received her B.A. from the University of California in 1968. She went on to earn her J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in 1978.

Prior to being elected to the bench, Bryant-Deason served as a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office. During her time as a prosecutor, she also served as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the U.S. Attorney's office, on loan from the D.A.'s office as a part of their exchange program.
