Diaz was a deputy public defender from 2007-2009, spent nine years in private practice, and four years as a public defender in Riverside County.
Diaz was very involved in Boy Scouts before becoming a judge and was the pack leader for one of the largest Cub Scout packs in the Inland Empire. His hobbies include hiking and cycling.
Judge Diaz’s parents immigrated to Texas from Cuba.
