Biography

The Hon. Rashida A. Adams is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench in 2017 by former governor Jerry Brown.

She is a registered Democrat.

Judge Adams received her B.A. from Harvard University. She went on to earn her J.D. from Yale Law School.

Adams began her legal career as an associate at the law firms of Bernabei and Katz PLLC from 2002 to 2005, and Caldwell, Leslie, and Proctor PC from 2005 to 2007.

Then, in 2008, Adams became an appellate court attorney for the Second District Court of Appeal. A year later, she rose to the position of senior appellate court attorney, a position she held until being appointed to the Superior Court in 2017.
