The Hon. Randall J. Sherman is a judge for the Superior Court of Orange County in California. He was appointed by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on May 19, 2005, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Richard O. Frazee, Sr.
Sherman earned a B.A. in mathematics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1976. He then received a J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1979.
Sherman began his legal career with Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth in 1979. He joined the firm as an associate, eventually becoming a partner in 1985. While at Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth, Sherman worked as a civil litigator, specializing in business litigation cases.
His memberships have included the William P. Gray Legion Lex Inn of Court, the California Judges Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County.
Sherman is registered as a Democrat.
