The Hon. Peter J. Mirich, Jr. is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was elected to the Municipal Court in 1988 and was elevated to the Superior Court as a result of the court unification in 2000. Judge Mirich holds the unique distinction of serving as a judge for the Superior Court for part of the week, and as a presiding judge for the island of Catalina for the rest of the week.
He is registered as a Republican
Mirich received his B.A. from the University of California and went on to earn his J.D. from Loyola Marymount University School of Law in 1978.
Prior to his appointment to the bench, Judge Mirich was a San Pedro criminal defense attorney.
