The Hon. Peter J. Busch is a judge for the Superior Court of San Francisco County in California. He was appointed by former governor Gray Davis in 2000.

Busch earned a B.A. from Yale University in 1974. He then received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1977.

Busch began his legal career as a law clerk for the Hon. Frank Coffin of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Hon. William Brennan of the United States Supreme Court.

Then, in 1980, Busch joined Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin as an associate.

Busch was born in Evanston, Illinois.
