Hon. Pat Broderick is a judge for the Sonoma County Superior Court. He was elected to the court in November 2010 and joined the court in January 2011 to succeed Elaine Rushing.
Known to be the longest serving Dean of Empire Law School, Broderick is also famous for his singing prowess. He once sang his closing argument to a jury.
Before becoming Dean, he was a trial attorney with a wide array of experience in civil practice, including but not limited to construction defect litigation, business litigation, wrongful death, real property disputes, and personal injury. Aside from that, Broderick believes that the resolution of cases does not always have to end up in litigation. Hence, he served as a mediator and arbitrator on numerous occasions.
Earlier in his legal career, he clerked for state Sen. Noreen Evans, D-Santa Rosa, who was six years his senior in law school. Thereafter, he was made a partner only within five years after signing in with O'Brien Watters & Davis.
