Biography

The Hon. Norman Perry Tarle is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2001 by former governor Gray Davis.

Judge Tarle received his B.A. from The City College of the City University of New York. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1976.

At the time of his appointment to the Superior Court in 2001, Tarle was a court commissioner for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, where he had been serving since 1985. Prior to that, he worked as a prosecutor for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office.
