Biography

The Hon. Mike Camacho is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2005. He filled the vacancy created by the retirement of Ronnie B. MacLaren.

He is a registered Democrat.

Judge Camacho received his B.A. from Idaho State University in 1984 and went on to earn his J.D. from Western State University College of Law, Irvine California in 1987.

Prior to his appointment to the Superior Court, Camacho had worked as a deputy district attorney for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office since 1988. During his time with the D.A.'s office, Camacho served on the Major Crimes Unit and was assigned to the Hardcore Gang Division.
