The Hon. Michael J. Convey is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in July 2010.

Convey graduated magna cum laude with his B.A. in English from Arizona State University in 1982. He went on to earn his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago Illinois in 1986.
From 1987-2002 Judge Convey was a trial lawyer for the law firms of Struckmeyer and Wilson (1987-1991), Nelsen, Thompson, Pegue and Thornton (1989-1991), and Silva, Clasen, and Raffalow (1991-2002). In September of 2002, he joined the Los Angeles County Superior Court as their Superior Court Commissioner. He remained there until he was appointed to the Superior Court bench in 2010.
In September of 2018 Judge Convey was one of several judges appointed to the Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee.
Some of his other memberships have included the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, the California Judges Association, the Legal Services Trust Fund Commission of the State Bar of California, and the Family Law Curriculum Committee.
