Biography

The Hon. Michael A. Sachs is a judge for the Superior Court of San Bernardino County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2007, filling a newly created position.

Sachs earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Irvine. He then completed a J.D. from Western State University College of Law.

He began his legal career as an associate at Roberts and Morgan in 1988.

Six years later, he left the private sector and joined the Litigation Unit of the Office of County Counsel of San Bernardino County. He entered as a deputy county counsel, eventually rising through the ranks to become chief deputy county counsel.

Sachs is registered as a Democrat.
