Biography

The Hon. Marjorie A. Slabach is a retired Commissioner of the Superior Court of San Francisco, California.

'Talk to each other, listen to each other, settle, settle, settle' -- is the mantra of Commissioner Marjorie Slabach, having spent 14 years as a Family Law attorney before joining the bench in 1997.

Commissioner Slabach is passionate about family law even outside of the courtroom. She taught at Golden Gate University School of Law and was on the board of Kids’ Turn, a nonprofit organization that runs classes to help families deal with divorce.

She received numerous awards that speak volumes of her commitment and devotion to Family Law. Some of these awards are: Outstanding Service to Family Law from the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists, Judicial Officer of the Year from the Family Law Section of the California State Bar, Champion for the Children Award from Rally Family Visitation Services of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, and Judicial Officer of the Year from the Northern California Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. In 2018, she was awarded the Drown Award from the Association of Family and Conciliation Court’s California Chapter for a lifetime of services to children and families.

She is also a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization.
