The Hon. Mac R. Fisher is a judge for the Riverside County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2007.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge Fisher graduated with his B.A. in political science from the University of California, Riverside in 1975. After college, Fisher worked as a salesman for the Burroughs Corporation selling computers. Ultimately Fisher decided, since he knew nothing about computer technology, that another career path would be prudent. He then pursued his law degree, graduating with his J.D. from Western State College of Law.
While attending law school, Fisher clerked at the law firm of Rose, Klein, and Marias LLP. After graduating from law school, he joined the law firm of Thompson and Colegate LLP, where he practiced for four years. Fisher then partnered with a former colleague, establishing the firm Fisher, Weather, and Geeting in 1984, where he practiced personal injury litigation. He then became an attorney at Bonnie R. Moss and Associates, where he specialized in insurance claims for State Farm Insurance. He would remain with the firm until his appointment to the Superior Court in 2007.
He has presided over a criminal trial calendar assignment while on the bench.
Judge Fisher, who attended college on a baseball scholarship, is an avid baseball fan. He also enjoys traveling and playing golf.
