The Hon. Lisa Mangay Chung is a judge for the Los Angeles County Superior Court in California. She was appointed to the bench by former governor Gray Davis in March of 2003. She filled the vacancy created by the retirement of Reginald Yates.
Judge Chung received her undergraduate degree from Vassar College and went on to earn her J.D. from Tulane Law School.
After graduating from law school, Chung joined the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office as a deputy district attorney in 1992. During part of her time with the D.A.'s office, she served as head of the Domestic Violence Unit and also worked in the Victim Impact Program. She remained with the D.A.'s office until her appointment to the Superior Court in 2003.
Her memberships have included the Korean American Bar Association and the Philippine American Bar Association.
