The Hon. Leopoldo E. Dorado is a judge for the Alameda County Superior Court in California. He originally presided as a Municipal Court judge beginning in 1988.
Judge Dorado graduated with his B.A. in economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1971. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 1974.
Prior to joining the bench, Dorado worked in private practice and also served as a deputy district attorney for both the San Mateo and Alameda County District Attorney's Offices.
Dorado received the inaugural Judicial Distinguished Service Award from the Alameda County Bar Association in 2001.
He became a Puente Project mentor in 1990.
