Biography

The Hon. L. Michael Clark is a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. He was appointed to the bench by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in 2008, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of the Hon. Ronald Lisk.

Clark earned a bachelor’s degree from Westmont College. He has also completed a master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law.

He began his legal career as an associate in the Law Office of James E. Jackson in 1982. He left the firm in 1986, accepting a position in the Office of County Counsel of Santa Clara County. By the time of his appointment to the bench, he had risen to senior lead deputy county counsel.
