The Hon. Kevin J. McCormick is a judge for the Sacramento County Superior Court in California. He was appointed to the bench in 2007 by former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
He is a registered Republican.
Judge McCormick received his bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California. He went on to earn his J.D. from the Whittier College of Law.
McCormick began his legal career as a deputy district attorney with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office in 1985. During that time he also practiced as an associate at the law firm of Looney, Nichols, Johnson, and Hayes for one year, beginning in 1987. Then, in 2004, McCormick would join the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office where he also served as a deputy. He would hold that position until his appointment to the Superior Court two years later.
While on the bench, Judge McCormick has presided over a general trial and criminal writs calendar.
