Biography

The Hon. Kevin A. Enright is a judge for the Superior Court of San Diego County in California. He was initially appointed to the San Diego Municipal Court by former governor Pete Wilson in 1995. He was then elevated to the Superior Court of San Diego County in 1997, filling a vacancy created by the elevation of the Hon. Jeffrey T. Miller.

Enright earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Stanford University in 1975. He then received a J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1979.

Enright began his legal career as a deputy district attorney for the Office of the District Attorney of Mendocino County. During his five-year tenure there, he prosecuted rape, child molestation, manslaughter, and elder abuse cases.

Then, in 1985, Enright left the public sector. He joined Butz, Lucas, Dunn, and Enright as a civil trial attorney, a position he held until his appointment to the bench.
