Biography

The Hon. Kenneth R. Green is a judge for the Superior Court of Kern County in California. He was elected to the bench on November 8, 2016.

Green earned a J.D. from the Thomas Jefferson Law School.

Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served as a deputy district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Kern County as well as the Office of the District Attorney of Tulare County. During his fifteen-year tenure as a deputy district attorney, he handled gang cases, homicides, and crimes against children.

Green served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was a resident of Tehachapi at the time of his election. He has trained his Labrador retriever, Legend, to sit in the witness box and comfort children as they testify in court about the crimes they have witnessed.
